geno Posted March 15, 2014 #28 Posted March 15, 2014 I've had issues with sound playback on my TV as well. I traced it to either the file container itself or the settings the ripper/encoder used to created the file. Outside of that issue I just had to set my TV as the default playback device. I've had the sound issue's using Media Player Classic, DVDFab Media Player, Media Player Classic BE and I believe Windows Media Player as well. To me it such a headache to do that I purchased a blu-ray player that allows me to use a flash drive to play video files via it on my TV.
beep22 Posted March 15, 2014 Author #29 Posted March 15, 2014 Geno, you said:" Outside of that issue I just had to set my TV as the default playback device".. How did you do this? The Apply button is greyed out for all options except the Speakers. I am missing something here. Please tell me more. UK666, before I uninstall Realtek would like to find out how I can set my TV as playback device. Thanks again. beep22
geno Posted March 15, 2014 #30 Posted March 15, 2014 Again in Windows 7 if I have my TV enabled in Nvidia's control panel as a second display it enables it as a playback device and then I right click on my speaker icon in my system tray and go to playback devices and set my TV as the playback device
beep22 Posted March 16, 2014 Author #31 Posted March 16, 2014 Thanks to all, now have tv sound and picture playing without dragging and dropping. Hope I did not wear you out. Again I thank you for all the time and effort, I do appreciate it. beep22 1
Andr-Tech uk666 Posted March 17, 2014 Andr-Tech #32 Posted March 17, 2014 Thanks beep22, don't forget to mark this thread as solved.
geno Posted March 17, 2014 #33 Posted March 17, 2014 Glad you got it working. I might suggest you post what you did so others can learn
beep22 Posted March 17, 2014 Author #34 Posted March 17, 2014 I used the Nvidia CP as you recommended, cloned the Display on the TV and after getting the picture on TV, used the Speaker on Task Bar to activate the TV Speaker. I previously was trying to do the same thing using Windows Displlay not Nvidia Display and it would not work. So I am now a happy camper. beep22
