Lucille Ball was an American actress and was a pioneer of comedy. She led the way to comedy, her T.V. show, I Love Lucy, ran for six seasons. She one of Hollywood’s greatest icons, and arguably the most iconic female entertainer of all time.

Lucille Ball was more than a brilliant comedienne. She was also a trailblazing feminist badass during a time when women weren't allowed to be any of those things. She was the first female to own a major television studio. In 1962, The Desilu Production came into being which showcased hit series such as Star Trek and Mission Impossible.

Lucille Ball died April 26, 1989 of a ruptured aortic aneurism at the age of 77. The woman who will always be remembered as the crazy, accident-prone, lovable Lucy Ricardo.
