The Indian chief had to leave the reservation for a year, so he left his son in charge.

When he returned, he asked is son how things had gone for the year. "Well, I've got some good news, and some bad news" he said. "What's the bad news?" the chief asked.

"Since you've been away, 1000 Paleface men have moved onto the reservation, and have built houses on our best hunting grounds and take all our buffalo" he replied.

"But that's disastrous" the chief replied, "So what's the good news?"

"Well, they taste like buffalo"
