bluescope Posted August 16, 2021 Share #1 Posted August 16, 2021 Japanese scientists have set a world record of 319Tbps (terabits per second) for transferring data, beating the 178Tbps achieved last August by a team at University College London. Japan’s National Research and Development Agency sent data through a fibre cable just over 3,000km, compared with 40km in London last year. The speed of 319Tbps is equivalent to nearly 40,000Gbps.
