Highly Selective College

There was a poor student who was hoping for a scholarship to a highly selective college.

He was smart enough to get through the written test, a GD and was to appear for the personal interview. 

Later, as the interview progressed, the interviewer found this boy to be bright. But he just doesn’t like the boy.

The interviewer decided to asks to boy an impossible question, the with no real right or wrong. He really wanted boy not to pass the tests.

"Tell me," said he to the boy, "What's your choice - TEN easy questions or ONE real difficult question. Think well before you make up your mind, because all the questions have to be correctly."

The boy thought for a while and said, "My choice is ONE real difficult question."

"Well, good luck to you, you have made your choice!" said the interviewer. Tell me: What comes first, Day or Night?"

The boy was jolted at first but he composed himself and said: "It's the DAY, sir."

"How?" the interviewer was smiling. ("At last, I got you!" he said to himself.)

The boy replied:

"Sorry sir, but you promised me that you will ask me ONE real difficult question!"
