General Forum Rules

To maintain a civil and friendly environment, please read the rules carefully. Every member deserves to enjoy the forum and have a pleasant experience.

The General Board Rules apply to all sections. In addition, there may be other rules governing the individual section. In case of differences, individual section rules will override General Forum Rules within the section itself.

NOTE:
Always read pinned posts/announcement before proceeding further in the individual section. These contain important information relative to that section.

A. GENERAL BOARD RULES
(1) Spam or Advertisement will not be tolerated in any form.
(2) English Language is our official / administrative language.
(3) Post in a way that is respectful of other users. Flaming or abusing users in any way will not be tolerated.
(4) If your post happens to be moved/edited/deleted, don't publicly throw a tantrum about it. Action may be taken against you.
(5) Pornography, Drugs, Terrorism, Hacking, Race, Religion and Politics are not to be discussed in any way.
(6) Using bots/software to post is strictly prohibited.

B. ACCOUNT ETIQUETTE
(1) Pick a secure password and take reasonable measures to protect your account.
(2) Do not attempt to impersonate an Andr||Net staff, member or any other person.
(3) Every user is entitled to have one account only. If you are found having more than one account, actions will be taken.
(4) Every member must use a valid E-mail address. We won't spam you and we also don't want to be spammed.

C. POSTING TOPICS
(1) Post topic in correct section.
(2) Search before posting new topic to avoid duplicates.
(3) Do not use underscores ( _ ) in your topic titles! It may not show up in results during search.
(4) Sales tactics are strictly prohibited. Do not advertise or promote your warez or CD/Cracks.

D. POSTING DOWNLOAD LINKS
(1) Direct download links only. Do not post link to webpage or another forum / blog or a folder listing.
(2) If link points to webpage where registration is required, it may be considered as advertisement.
(3) All download links must include the required password, if any. Do not ask others to PM you or download a file for the password.
(4) Posting Premium Links (or links which require registration) are allowed only when accompanied by free links. Do not start a topic by posting all premium links.
(5) It is recommended that you code external links. Although no longer mandatory, it is still preferable.
(6) Do not hotlink images from other websites without prior consent. Especially avoid hotlinking to owner/developer homepage.
(7) Do not solicit a "thanks" from members downloading from your links.
(8) Re-directing links is not permitted.

E. REPLYING TO A POST
(1) Use the  button to express your thanks. Don't reply to a post with a "thank you". Keep the forum clean.

Replies which do not contribute towards the topic will be deleted. Saying thanks is NOT considered as a contribution.
(2) 'Bumping' of threads back to the top to elicit a response is prohibited. Thread may be locked or deleted.
(3) Use "Report" button to submit irregularities to the staff. See this example from uk666 - https://forum-andr.net/topic/18601-how-to-use-the-report-button/

F. REQUESTS
(1) Request topic should be created in Request Section only. (Members with post count less than 10 cannot create new topic in Request Section).
(2) Do not PM other members with request, or place requests in Chat Box.
(3) Private exchange/sharing is not allowed. Do not request other members via post, PM or Chat Box.
(4) Multiple items/requests in a single topic shall be considered invalid.

If member is found in gross violation of rules,

• 3 warning points will have you suspended for 7 days;
• 6 warning points will have you suspended for 14 days;
• 12 warning points will result in a definitive ban.

! it's been nearly 5 years but some members still posting "thanks" kind of useless posts. remember that it'll be a warning point which won't expire!
