Is Search Doing Its Job

Sometimes I read reactions of moderators that users should look / search before posting.

Today I saw some posts of Lonely planet.

When using the search box on top it gives me 15 articles (automaticly giving me the AND solution). But if I do the same + enter it sometimes gives me no result. Using the more search options using " " also gives no result.

A few minutes later I tried it again adn now it suddenly works fine and gave me 3 pages of results (using now both words as a possible result).

Had this strange result also on previous versions of the board.

Might be an IPS issue but for me all of my searches worked fine. I don't know if there's a time limit between search queries (to prevent flooding) but if there was one, it would have warned us between searches.

Just as a heads up i had the same problems some time ago.

To both: for sure a member error, typo or a space between any of the 2 quotes.

Like draww, me too I never face those problems you guys have.

There's only one restriction for the search ... words must be minimum 4 characters long.

Have any of you checked this: How To Do A Good Advanced Search

Especially Post #2 ... it also contains 4 pictures.
