Anyone know how to use the firewall in SEP Unmanaged Client to block certain domains please? Thank you.

Thanks. The article is for "Symantec Gateway Security 2.0x/3.0x or Symantec Enterprise Firewall 8.0." I google-d SEP Unmanged Client before posting but did not find any good article.

How to configure firewall rules on an unmanaged Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP) clients with Network Threat Protection installed.


 


Double-click on the Symantec shield icon on the taskbar. You can also access the client interface from the Start Menu: Start > All Programs > Symantec Endpoint Protection.


 


When the client interface opens, you will see the Status page, where you can configure the firewall rules.


 


·         Click Options next to Network Threat Protection.


·         Select Configure Firewall Rules.


 


You can add your own customized rules via the Add Rule button. Unlike managed clients, there is no rule creation wizard. Instead, a pop-up appears and allows you to configure a blank rule.


 


There are certain settings that cannot be configured with the unmanaged Symantec Endpoint Protection interface. You want to install an unmanaged client that has some of these settings configured.
