r1k Posted April 30, 2014 #1 Posted April 30, 2014 Hi guys, I am looking for advice regarding the burning of a Dual-layer DVD. I would like to burn a navigation DVD for my Nissan vehicle which I imported from Japan. The vehicle has factory installed TV/DVD/Navigation system but I did not get the Navigation disc itself. I was however able to source the Navigation DVD from a torrent site. The file is in an ISO format. I have Nero 2014 Platinum 15.0.07700 version installed on my Win7 system. I am awaiting delivery of Verbatim 8.5 GB 2.4X Double Layer Recordable Disc DVD+R DL disc from Amazon. I would prefer to get suggestions on what software I should use before I get coasters from the discs that I have ordered. I would highly appreciate your comments, suggestions and advice on this matter. I have tried goggling the very said problem and most techs suggest using ImgBurn for the job but I am not comfortable using that proggy. Thanks in advance,r1k
SuperModerator BamSec1 Posted May 1, 2014 SuperModerator #2 Posted May 1, 2014 Nero Multimedia Suite / Nero Platinum are good programs, and so are DVDfab and Blue-Cloner Diamond. A friend of mine uses those 3 to copy movies and programs. All can copy CD, DVD and Blue-Ray discs.
geno Posted May 1, 2014 #3 Posted May 1, 2014 Actually you need to make sure you're Nissan Navigation system will allow the use of a back-up media like that. Second of all you need to DVD burner in your system to be able to burn the ISO since some drives don't support either the DVD+R spec and/or Dual Layer. Provided all the above is good then you should be able to open the ISO with Nero and let Nero burn it. The only other thing is you might want to do it at the slowest speed possible 1
