Hi All

I have hit a couple of problems recently, the first one is a login problem. Mobile states I have incorrect username and/or password but this is exactly the same as on my laptop that allows me to login normally. However on both my mobile and laptop (if I logout) if I follow the forgot your password, put my email address in and hit the Recover Password Link I get "You did not pass the Secrity Check", Please try again. I get no further.

When I put my password back in to my Laptop I can login, when I put my password into my phone I get "The display name or password was incorrect" Please try again (make sure your caps lock is off).

 

The other problem is with content on the forum which I still get as "Content not viewable in your region" has anyone any suggestions on how to overcome this please.

So, you cannot login on you Android mobile phone, it says incorrect username and/or password.

Your phone might not unlock with the right password due to software glitches (fix with restart), recent updates, screen issues (smudges/damage), or security lockouts after too many failed attempts, but first, double-check capitalization/typos, try biometrics (fingerprint/face), or use Find My Device/Mobile to Remotely Unlock or Factory Reset. "Content not viewable in your region" UK users can no longer see Imgur images because Imgur self-blocked access in late September 2025 due to the UK's Online Safety Act (OSA), forcing forum members to find alternative image hosts like Flickr, imgbb.com, or forum-integrated galleries to keep older posts visible and host new ones.  Members who have images hosted by Imgur, will have to find alternative hosting website so UK users can see images hosted by Imgur

Hi uk666

Always use biometrics to login to my phone and can login to all my other accounts, the login problem is with this forum on both my Laptop and my Mobile.

I logout of this form then when I go (On Both My Laptop and Mobile) to the forgot password and input my email address and then click the link "Recover my password" (on this forum) I get the "You did not pass the Secrity Check", Please try again. I get no further.

On my Laptop on this forum I then put my username in and my password in and I can then login, I then go to this forum on my mobile and do the same but I get the "incorrect username and/or password" 

 

"Content not viewable in your region" OK so as I live in the UK I will have to put up with it many thanks.

Suggest you try using a VPN it may help solve the problem.

So you have to use a VPN on this forum to pass the security check and recover your passwoed, seems strande to me

Apparently only if you live in the UK, other members don't seem to have this problem.

We will contact Invision Company who wrote our our forum software and ask them if there's no solution for this.

Sorry BamSec1 & 200mle I think some confusion is afoot.

I can understand using a VPN to view content in my region but if that cannot be sorted thats not a problem and I can live with it.

My major concern is the "You did not pass the Secrity Check", Please try again.

I will try to clarify as follows

I sign  out of the forum in my profile. I then go to sign in which brings up the sign in form to complete with my display name, and password and right at the bottom under sign in it states Forgot Your Password (which is a link to the next page) asking for my email address which I believe is part of the security check with a highlighted blue Recover Password.

When I input my email address and click the link Recover Password I get the error "You did not pass the Secrity Check", Please try again.

This happens on my laptop so if I forget my password how do I recover it??

Yes, this happens probably (as I can read from the comments)...

...because you also log in from the UK.

Therefore we will contact the writers of our forum software (an American company) if they embedded something to restrict UK members to access the forums using the software they wrote.

Hi BamSec1

For your information I had no problems up to the latest upgrade v4.7.23 December 17th, my first report on the problem of login was on that date could there have been a problem during the upgrade, only a thought for when you contact the writers.

Yes my friend, I know that. Therefore, and a possibility is that Invision Community only implemented this in the software as from the last version.
