Help with stripping the GUID from a Microsoft update

Trying to install the last version of webview2 runtime for Windows 7 x64. I found these instructions below which I've followed with the exception of the stripping the GUID bit. As I obviously haven't managed to strip the GUID, my installation attempts are failing. Can anyone please help with instructions on how to strip the GUID?

you should be able to download it but what you get can't be installed. It needs to be extracted first, then you get MicrosoftEdge_X64_109.0.1518.140.exe.{0D50BFEC-CD6A-4F9A-964C-C7416E3ACB10} from which you need to strip the GUID to get the Edge installer. Running without parameters it will install the Edge browser, not the runtime.
