Andr-Tech uk666 Posted October 6, 2024 Andr-Tech #1 Posted October 6, 2024 Do ghosts really exist? lots of people believe in ghosts – a spirit left behind after someone who was alive has died. In a 2021 poll of 1,000 American adults, 41% said they believe in ghosts, and 20% said they had personally experienced them. If they’re right, that’s more than 50 million spirit encounters in the U.S. alone. In the “spirit” of critical thinking, consider the following: Apparitions: Some people report seeing ghostly figures or apparitions that appear to be the spirits of deceased people. Unexplained sounds: Strange noises such as footsteps, knocking, and moaning, which have no physical explanation, are often attributed to ghosts. Moving objects: Some people report objects moving on their own, such as doors opening or closing, or objects being moved from one place to another. Electronic voice phenomena: EVP or electronic voice phenomena refers to the recording of unexplained sounds, often interpreted as the voices of ghosts or spirits. Cold spots: Some people report feeling cold spots or sudden drops in temperature in certain areas, which are thought to be caused by the presence of ghosts. Strange Odors: Unexplained Odors, such as perfume or cigar smoke, are sometimes attributed to the presence of ghosts. Feeling of being watched: Some people report feeling as if they are being watched or followed by an unseen presence, which they interpret as a ghost or spirit. Shadow figures: Shadow figures or silhouettes, which are often seen moving in the corner of the eye or in dimly lit areas, are sometimes believed to be ghosts. Ghostly touch: Some people report feeling a ghostly touch, such as a hand on their shoulder or a tap on their arm, which they believe to be caused by a ghost. Ghostly orbs: Ghostly orbs are circular or spherical shapes that appear in photographs and are often attributed to the presence of ghosts or spirits. One final consideration: Virtually all ghostly experiences involve impediments to making accurate perceptions and judgments: Bad lighting. Emotional arousal. Sleep phenomena. Social influences. Culture. A misunderstanding of how recording devices work. The prior beliefs and personality traits of those who claim to see ghosts. All of these hold the potential to induce unforgettable ghostly encounters. But also, all things can be explained without ghosts being real. 1
