This course is an excellent introduction to the "post-modern" reception of Nietzsche's thought. The professor is engaging and makes Nietzsche relevant to lived life, Nietzsche constant concern. For an interesting comparison listen to Robert Solomon's Teaching Company lectures on Nietzsche. Solomon presents a much tamer Nietzsche that fits nicely into liberal democratic values while Roderick shows us Nietzsche as rebellious raconteur pushing for life to be lived and embraced as Roderick himself did.
