not necessarily or even in particular, my dear, if you please

(it's a quote from Proust: "A la recherche du temps perdu" - In search of lost time, inspired by the amount of time I was wasting in this topic. Again, sorry, I was a literature professor, I can't help myself sometimes.)

?

about "ma petite", what if the user able to answer is a guy ?

Posted

remember, I am quoting Proust, but 'mon petit' would perhaps be more acceptable to you, assuming an occasional odd departure from the "English Only" regime of this board... hmmm? But, to answer to "ma petite", perhaps you would need to be a closeted homosexual, which Proust was on about both in "Remembrance of Things Past" (alternative title) and in life?

(LOL)

Wouldn't this be considered as border talk ?

Do we need to talk about this perhaps?

  • Administrator

would you prefer to write about it ?

Posted

Yes, would it be in English though?

  • Administrator

I suppose this won't come to discussion again ?

Would it negate the outcome?

  • Administrator

Is a negative outcome a bad answer ?

Is being wrong part of the solution ?

Posted

Do you really think there is a solution?

Can we talk of "many things, of cabbages and kings", which don't need solutions but appreciations, perhaps? I am listening to Gert Van Hoef improvise on  opwekkingslied "Abba Vader" on a lovely Eminent Capella Concerto organ with a most sumptuous tone (YouTube clip) - a solution to my boredom problem, maybe?

(For those interested:  (?)
