bluescope Posted August 21, 2021 Share #1 Posted August 21, 2021 Search faster The search tool in Windows (accessed via the Start menu) isn’t particularly reliable. Even when you type a program’s name in full, it can often return incorrect results. Everything (from VoidTools.com – https://www.voidtools.com/downloads/ click the Download Installer button) is so much better. It takes seconds to index all the files on your hard drive, then provides fast and accurate results to your search queries. Now there's a great new addition which makes Everything even better: Download Everything Toolbar ( https://github.com/stnkl/EverythingToolbar/releases/tag/0.7.1 – select the MSI file at the bottom of the page) alongside the main Everything program and you’ll be able to run searches directly from a search box on your taskbar. Thanks to a recent update, Everything Toolbar also lets you browse your search history by holding down the Ctrl key then pressing the up and down arrow keys. Changes Added search history option (Navigate by pressing Ctrl+↑/↓) Added option to show quick toggles for "match case", "match path", etc. in the search box Added option to show number of search results Added option to remember the selected filter Added icons for the default filters ? @JUSTIVE Win+Key shortcuts can now be used to trigger EverythingToolbar Experimental option to automatically search with EverythingToolbar when typing in the Windows start menu Allow navigation of search results using PgUp, PgDown, Home and End Basic search macros like video: and pic: are now supported Changed the settings/context menu style to be more in line with Windows search The default themes and views can now be translated Fixed IME being always on ? @AioiLight Fixed the magnifying glass color on older Windows 10 versions when using Windows light theme Fixed the Spanish translation being all mixed up Removed unnecessary io operations when using Everything filters Added new translations: Dutch ? @hansvansoest Japanese ? @AioiLight Swedish ? @nlssn Greek, Hebrew, Turkish, Arabic and more improvements via Crowdin ? Note: Previous themes won't be fully compatible with this release of EverythingToolbar. This is a screenshot of Everything Toolbar showing in my Taskbar. Important Note: the developer of Everything Toolbar and the developer of Everything are two different people. Important tip: In order to have Everything Toolbar show up for the first time in your Taskbar, you must have Everything installed and running BEFORE you install Everything Toolbar.
