Andr-Tech uk666 Posted February 27, 2021 Andr-Tech #1 Posted February 27, 2021 My favourite is the ESET Internet Security (purchased), because it has very few, if any false positive, when using Keygens, Patches. Which is good for us pirates! 3 1
SuperModerator BamSec1 Posted February 27, 2021 SuperModerator #2 Posted February 27, 2021 Now AVG Internet Security. And in the past it was Zone Alarm Pro from ZoneLabs. 3
mgk1956 Posted February 27, 2021 #3 Posted February 27, 2021 Like UK666 said I was using ESET for quite sometime[ But getting keys became quite a hassle. Now Mcafee endpoint security. Only issue manual update. 4
Administrator draww Posted February 27, 2021 Administrator #4 Posted February 27, 2021 I use KIS for a long time. Yeah with legit license. I tend to buy software that I use ? 5 1
mgk1956 Posted February 28, 2021 #7 Posted February 28, 2021 I feel windows 10 defender is quite adequate! In one of my olde laptops I haven't installed a third party antivirus and it seems ok 2

bluescope Posted March 10, 2021 #12 Posted March 10, 2021 Like others, I have been a long-time (almost from their first version) user of ESET - first as NOD32 and now as ESET Smart Security Suite . In all that time I can faithfully report that I have never had a virus or other nasty get past and with their firewall, never a successful penetration. Like @draww, I nearly always pay for all the software I use regularly. Personally, it has never made any sense to me to use pirated versions of security software - that is just asking for trouble (a bit like locking your car and leaving the keys or electronic clicker taped to the driver's-side window, on the outside!). For most users though, especially if they don't do a lot of browsing into the deep, dark, and subterranean reaches of the web (where they are most likely to find the spider) and are careful with what they install, the inbuilt Windows10 security and firewall is more than adequate (if one accepts that there will be false positives). Used with a little backup from Malwarebytes, it gets the job done. But ESET is the clear winner in almost every reputable security software comparison site, again and again. It's a record hard to beat. Maz 3
