How to Install uTorrent Pro

How to Install uTorrent Pro

Make a new a folder and name it: uTorrent

Download into the uTorrent Folder.

  1. propack.rar
  2. uTorrent.Pro 

Extract:

  1. propack.rar
  2. uTorrent.Pro.3.5.5.Build.45798.DA.rar

In the "uTorrent.Pro.3.5.5.Build.45798.DA", you will find "uTorrent.exe."

  1. Double click "uTorrent.exe" and you will start the Installation Process.
  2. Right-click the uTorrent's Icon in the System Tray (next to the clock), and choose Exit.

How do I unhide Appdata in Windows 10?

AppData folder is hidden by default in Windows File Explorer and has three hidden sub-folders: Local, LocalLow, and Roaming.

  1. Go to Explorer.
  2. Open the C drive.
  3. Click View on the Menu Bar.
  4. Click the Options Icon. 
  5. Select the View Tab.
  6. Under Files and Folders > Hidden files and folders, select the option to Show hidden files, folders and drives.
  7. Click OK.

Open propack in the uTorrent Folder and copy and replace the contents from the propack folder to the folder with the installed program.

To find the installed program folder:

Click uTorrent.exe icon on the desktop and select open file location.

Replace the contents from the propack folder to the folder with the installed program.

Done.

Setup uTorrent

Click on “Options” and hit the “Preferences” entry. Open the “General” tab and go over to the “When Downloading” section at the bottom of the screen.

Make sure that all these three options are checked, as they could have a significant impact on the overall download speed

If you don't want uTorrent starting up when your computer turns on, uncheck the "Start µTorrent with Windows starts" box.

Click the "Outgoing" drop-down box. It's below the "Protocol Encryption" heading. A drop-down menu will appear. Click "Forced." Doing so will force uTorrent to use "Protocol Encryption" all of the time, thereby increasing your overall security.

Click the "Queueing tab". It's on the left side of the window. 

Check the "maximum active torrents value." You should see "8" in the box to the right of the "Maximum number of active torrents" heading. By default, the number to the right of the "Maximum number of active downloads" heading is "5"

uTorrent Configuring Download Locations.

Click on Directories in the left menu.

Torrent

  1. Make a new folder name Torrent in you Downloads Folder, for the Torrents.
  2. Tick the check box for Put new downloads in.
  3. Click the browse button “
  4. Browse to your Torrent in you Downloads Folder, you created for uTorrent.
  5. Click the OK Button.

Torrent .dat Files

  1. Make a new folder name Torrent Files in you Downloads Folder, for the Torrent .dat files.
  2. Tick the check box for Store .torrents in.
  3. Click the browse button “
  4. Browse to your Torrent Files in you Downloads Folder, you created for uTorrent.
  5. Click the OK Button.
