Punjabi Posted September 14, 2020 #1 Posted September 14, 2020 I am trying to create a image of a win 10 x64 laptop. It creates HD image fine.. My problem is when I try to restore the image of win 10 on a same model laptop, windows 10 goes in constant loop of "auto repair mode", any help please.
Administrator Bad Karma Posted September 14, 2020 Administrator #2 Posted September 14, 2020 I don't think it's Aomei related. Tested a restore on my laptop this morning with v6.0. Everything went fine like usually. Maybe you made a disk image. That doesn't include the boot files from the disk your supposed to boot on and in consequence Windows launches a "repair" trial to recover the missing files. (That already supposes also that the restore of the backup didn't give any errors). You could also have a faulty disk ? These are just a couple of guesses by lack of info from your part. Please detail exactly your problem : Version of Aomei backupper, what type of backup, what type and method of restore you requested,... 2
Andr-Tech uk666 Posted September 14, 2020 Andr-Tech #3 Posted September 14, 2020 So, you are trying to migrate Windows 10 to a new laptop, but the new laptop goes in loop of auto repair mode. I think you have to use the - AOMEI Backupper Technician, for Clone/Migrate. AOMEI Backupper Technician - Migrate Windows 10/8/7 to smaller/larger SSD or new computer without reinstalling Windows and programs; Transfer entire hard drive or partition without losing data. 1 1

SuperModerator BamSec1 Posted November 21, 2020 SuperModerator #6 Posted November 21, 2020 Hmm ... we should start giving warnings to members asking for help but not letting us know when they have their problem(s) solved. It also upsets me when members ask for help, and when it is solved, thanks to help from our side, not even take the time to click on ... 3
