Torrent Search Engine Duel

It is well known that Google filters search results to remove the "juicier" ones, in order to satisfy the DMCA/Movie&Recording industry demands etc. By the time it finishes, not much warez stuff is left, and the situation keeps getting worse as demands mount, with torrents being a major victim.

For this reason, the Toorgle search engine specializing on torrents, is a better choice:

http://www.toorgle.net

But there are other options. I chose for comparison the IBIT torrent search:

https://ibit.uno/

So as a test, I searched for "Game of Thrones".

Both engines got plenty results, as you would expect.

Toorgle seemed to have a rather spartan interface, and started with results about lyrics and albums, what I consider irrelevant.

IBIT, on the other hand, had much the better presentation, also showing torrent size, seeders and leechers.

Based on the above, between the two, I much prefer IBIT.

You could also add Torrentz2

Since years Torrentz2 is not working for me!

I tried it again now and it shows the same like in the past;
Secure Connection Failed
The connection to torrentz2.eu was interrupted while the page was loading.
    The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.
    Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem.

I wonder how it comes. Maybe because I use Firefox?

@koolkat Thank you my friend.

Most probably Firefox is the culprit then.

But I don't care, it means its protection is good. :)

Hi old friend BamSec1, nice to see you still around and active.

Indeed, I believe you are right. In fact, you don't need many torrent search tools, because even if you can find an additional obscure one, you'll have a hard time getting any seeds for it.

The Torrentz2 link is working for me with iexplore, edge, waterfox & yandex browser. Only have those 4 browsers on my pc but all allow to open the link.

You can also add this one to the list though, as I said above, I don't think you need many such engines. Unless you're looking for something obscure, just one or two good engines will do the job. So the real question for me is which one(s)?
