datakore Posted August 13, 2017 #1 Posted August 13, 2017 Hi folks, I was using CuteFTP Pro 9.0 on windows 10. All of a sudden when I launch the program, I get this I need to somehow get this working again because I do not remember which websites I have loaded into this ftp client. Also, I did disable both anti virus and firewall to see if that was the culprit but with no luck.
Administrator draww Posted August 14, 2017 Administrator #2 Posted August 14, 2017 Some updates may have corrupted it, try replacing exe file (DO NOT uninstall & setup again. just replace main exe) in most cases it solves the problem. had a similar issue with a game lately. I replaced exe and it worked again. If it's a cracked exe, put it back from your archive. Or setup cuteftp to another computer get cuteftp.exe from there. This will prevent overwriting your sm.dat file! On the other hand here are some other options, in case above fix doesn't work for you: Quote WHERE ARE MY SITES? The sites in the Site Manager are stored in a file called sm.dat. The location in which sm.dat is stored depends on your version of Windows. IMPORTANT: sm.dat is not a "human-readable" file; you can't just type your site information into a text file. Manually editing the sm.dat file can corrupt it and you will lose your site information.
