Legoman Posted June 22, 2017 #1 Posted June 22, 2017 Trying to source the cause of a very recent problem with being able to download from Uploaded.net. Is anyone else finding the Free Download button completely unresponsive to clicks? Was working just fine last week, now not. My only configuration changes have been some Windows security updates. I have contacted Uploaded support and they've responded with the typical "It's not us, it must be you and your ad blockers, anti-virus etc third party software". Of course I've disabled all those for testing without effect. I'm now uninstalling the windows security updates one by one hoping to isolate the cause. Anyone else experiencing problems with getting the free downloads button on Uploaded.net to work?
Andr-Tech uk666 Posted July 10, 2017 Andr-Tech #2 Posted July 10, 2017 Have you try disabling the SmartScreen Filter. The SmartScreen filter built into Windows automatically scans applications, files, downloads, and websites, blocking known-dangerous content and warning you before you run unknown applications. 2
mgk1956 Posted July 11, 2017 #3 Posted July 11, 2017 Just to test, I used the file sharer uploaded.net to download a file in the free mode (of course I don't have a premium account!). Downloads fine. I suggest that you try jdownloader. 2
Legoman Posted July 11, 2017 Author #4 Posted July 11, 2017 After testing and consulation with the Uploaded.net tech support people (who amazingly were actually excellent at responding promptly and not just palming me off), I was able to narrow down the cause of the conflict to the installation of KeepVid Pro with its included Firefox plug-in to my browser. KeepVid Pro v6.1.1.11 (to be found in here in Warez) is no problem at all and works brilliantly, but if you upgrade to KeepVid Pro v6.1.2.4 (also to be found here in Warez), then you can kiss goodbye to being able to download from Uploaded.net again. Fortunately there is no reason to upgrade to KeepVid Pro 6.1.2.4 since it does nothing more than 6.1.1.11 did, so it was a simple case of reverting back to the earlier version of KeepVid Pro and normality on Uploaded.net was restored.
