micro22 Posted February 23, 2017 #1 Posted February 23, 2017 Hi everybody! How do I transfer 2 (big) files -directly- between 2pc's (one in Europe and one in Canada!). There are a lot of softwares to help you (TeamViewer etc..) but I it is strange that it is not possible to do it more easily (we suppose that the 2 owners know each other, so no risk of pirating etc..). Strange because we all have IP and Mac addresses, so it seems -at least to me!!- that it could be done easily/directly. Generating a torrent seems the simpliest way (though I've never tried it), but, again a specialized soft must be installed . Any tip? Thanks
Andr-Tech uk666 Posted February 23, 2017 Andr-Tech #2 Posted February 23, 2017 micro22, What's the maximum file size?
Administrator draww Posted February 23, 2017 Administrator #4 Posted February 23, 2017 you can easily password protect (with 7-zip AES encryption - free and legal) and upload to openload.co or some other fast file server... most of them have the option to set the file for private use. it can't spread over net unless you share the link anyone who doesn't know the password would get nothing from it. of course you must use a strong password something like +$8C3v@2@dV5Rud&X-HD9Yx to stop dictionary, bruteforce or other guess attacks. you may even use one of the Hidden Content Give reaction to this post to see the hidden content. . saying that you know the person, you may text, whatsapp, mail the password separately.. or after uploading the file, connect the other PC with teamviewer and download the file remotely and then just delete it from server (no worries if you've encrypted the file before uploading) knowing the password already you may unencrypt it on target PC. 6

Andr-Tech uk666 Posted February 24, 2017 Andr-Tech #8 Posted February 24, 2017 Try using Windows homegroups: Connecting computers over a network to share files and folders became a lot easier with homegroups. If you have two or more computers on a Wi-Fi or wired network at home or in the office, they can shearing files and folders. This enables files on one computer to be accessed from another. You could store everything on the PC with the biggest disk and then access it over the network from other computers. However, what if you have a PC running Vista or XP, Those cannot join homegroups and you will need to resort to old-style file sharing. It just needs to be configurated, and was already possible with XP! There are a lot of tutorials on the web, I am going to try. Thanks everybody! 1
datakore Posted February 26, 2017 #10 Posted February 26, 2017 You can go old school and look for a program called WWW File Share Pro WWW File Share Pro can help you share files on the internet or on the local area network. You may use it to share files between your PC and other devices if they may access your PC with an internet browser, regardless of what Operating System is installed on them. With WWW File Share Pro, you can: Share office documents between Windows and other operating system: Mac OS X, Linux, iOS, Android, etc. View photos or play mp3 files stores on your PC from other portable computer or smart mobile phone: iPad, iPhone, Nexus 4, Note II, etc. Share files between you and other persons: your friends, your colleagues, etc. What you need to do is to simply specify a download directory and a upload directory. Then run the internet browser on other devices to download files from your computer or upload files from those devices to your computer. All popular internet browsers are supported, such as Firefox, Chrome, Safari, Internet Explorer, Opera, etc. There is no need to install this software or any other software on other devices because an internet browser is enough. Besides, WWW File Share Pro provides much more useful functions, such as password protection, default document, NT service, Ban IP, active connections monitor, etc. Hidden Content Give reaction to this post to see the hidden content. 4
